That's it, my DD has now started full time school! Mixed emotions today! She's an only child so I think it's going to feel very weird although i can't say I'm not looking forward to the break Smile hoping she's coping okay today!!

What are you doing today? Do you work?

I shed a tear as I sent mine in. She was fine though. I'm clock watching now as I am v worried about forgetting to fetch her!!

I've got two more napping upstairs so it is not totally quiet but dd1 is the talkathon so it feels quiet Grin

Mine starts tomorrow. So excited for her! She's just on morning this week

Mine had her first day today, only a half day and lunch. She loved it. She will be full time from Thursday, and in breakfast and after school club next week.

She came out after lunch, elated at how exciting it all was. She's been in nursery since a baby but I did have a little lip wobble on the way home (and DH who never gets involved came along, and looked rather forlorn too).

Was great picking up a happy excited child though Grin

She's back now, full of beans and stories of what she's done!! I feel better knowing she enjoyed it!

This all seems so positive, I'm sure there will be ups and downs along the way, but I've a lot of respect for the teachers and TAs for giving these little ones a lovely first day experience.

It must be hard for them with a class of 30 odd unknown children with different needs/personalities and send them off home happy. I'll give the staff two thumbs up (which is how DD1 described her first day) Star

Yes she's had a wonderful day but was as the evening went on she was VERY tired, she didn't even want a bedtime story which is not like her at all Shock

That'll be your new normal. Plan for a very quiet half term!

That will be very weird! Ha! She's usually a chatterbox

DS had his first (half) day today. He came out beaming but shattered. He actually had an early night and went straight to sleep!

4 more half days to go then full time next week. Friday will be... interesting!

Ds1 started today, and cried and I had to hand him over to one of the teachers and I wanted to cry too. I felt like a terrible mum! They have just rung to say he is fine, but I am still feeling sad. Sad

DS' first day today and he was fine but now house feels empty. I just hope he's okay as this is longest I've ever left him. Was overjoyed to see his best friend at school though but sadly they are in different classes.
When I left though he was playing with another of his friends from nursery.

Unfortunately my ds doesn't know anyone at school, none of his nursery friends are going to his school. Can't wait to pick him up, ds2 is being very cuddly today, obviously missing him!

He'll be alright. DS knew no one at school nursery last year and very quickly settled in.

He's fine. I only knew as he was in his spare trousers. Thankfully we take in extra clothes as he has some sensory issues so he could change into them.
