Something inspiring and exciting to spend PTA funds on - any brilliant ideas?

We already have a few thousand in the pot and a meeting next week on what to spend it on. A few years ago, the PTA funded an amazing climbing wall which has hugely contributed to the daily life of the school and even counts towards a module of P.E GCSE.
Really want some new ideas beyond the usual books, playground items etc. One suggestion was a 3D printer which sounds exciting but it would be wonderful to contribute to something that would be a bonus for as many of the children as possible.
Any brilliant ideas??

Ask the teachers giving them the brief of something that would be a bonus for as many children as possible. They will have wish lists already and then you can decide from the bids.

Good idea asking the teachers. I was going to say don't bother woth a climbing wall as the school DD goes to for sixth form has one and she says she's never seen it in use (it's a good selling point for open day visitors though!).
I used to think some kind of shelter for the boys at wet lunchtimes would be good (they're never allowed in the building), but our pta was obsessed with i.t. Suites/computer trollies before I gave up going.

Our teachers and school council draw up a wish list each September. We have had amazing new play houses and pods (use as outdoor classrooms), interactive white boards, new sports team kits, choir t shirts, ukuleles, equipment for cookery club, new buddy bench etc
