Any suggestions please for writing practice books for YR

We had DS1's (5) review today. Teacher suggested if he were keen we should help DS with practicing finger spaces, capital letters and letter formation. He's keen to do this, but knowing him he'd like to do some of it independently, without me coaching him. Please can anyone suggest anything I can buy online?

I'd stop by Waterstones and picked one up together with him.

There are many different books but he might like a specific one best. And he'll feel very grown up for having made the decision.

There are tons of free printables on the internet. Or print lined paper (handwriting lines or normal ones) and copy out silly/rude poems. Find a postcard penpal (grown-up or same age - relatives are good and grandparents are often enthusiastic repliers) or enter competitions (in local free paper/supermarket). DS liked to write "angry letters" in reception/year 1 and badgered local council people, local MP and shop/restaurant head offices about flickering lamposts, crayons that break too easily, removal of favourite drink from Starbucks etc. etc. MPs always reply, others are hit and miss (often dependant on whether they could read it, I would imagine). But if he complained about anything I would encourage him to write a letter - he doesn't complain about much now!
