Hi,
We have been living in the city of London for a year and a half and now we are thinking in moving to hampstead/belzie park or swiss cottage area.We have a 8 months baby boy and we are looking for a more family area and a good school. I would be very grateful if someone could give me any advise about how things work to get a state school and which one would be a good option around that area. I have been told that the place where you live is very important to get the school, so we would like to choose the school prior to the flat, if that make sense. We are not from UK so we are a bit lost about everything.
Any advise is more tan welcome!!
Many Thanks in advance

Hampstead and Belsize Park have some of the highest property prices in London. If you are opting for good State schools for financial reasons I'd suggest moving somewhere with a range of good Primary and Secondary schools like East Finchley. You'd have more affordable family property and more open space. With a broader range of state schools. You'd also be able to have the more village atmosphere of Muswell Hill/ Crouch End not that far away.
If you can afford Hampstead property and independent schools then that's a different talk thread.
