Not sure if this is the right place, but dd came home from school today, all fine and happy, but when she was going to bed, she got upset and said she wished she wasn't here anymore.
Needless to say I was shocked and it appears that today some girls excluded her from an activity and she felt left out. One of them laughed and said she was always at the end ( whatever that means) and that she (the girl) was VIR (very important girls name) and what says goes. It would seem she has been controlling the group generally.
This girl is a bossy boots and not long ago accused dd of taking someone else's snack, based on the evidence that dd had same snack the term before! That was sorted out and all has been quiet, or at eat I thought it had.
DP suggested she stand up to this girl and not do as she says, or tell the teacher, dd said she stood up to her once before and was put on the Amber light, as a warning (she has never told me of this). She also said that she didn't want to make A fuss and be different, but she wanted to be included.
To be honest, I am more concerned that she felt she wanted to not to be here and by that I took that she wished she was dead. I tried to tell her how proud I am of her, how wonderful she is etc. and that we would hate to be without her, but am at a loss to know what to do.
Do I tell her teacher? Early last year another girl was a bit of a bully to her and school were excellent, I don't want to come across as PFB and I don't want her to portray herself as a victim.
What would you do?
