Do any Greater Manchester/Cheshire state schools prepare pupils for grammars/independent schools?

DD is doing OK at a good state primary school. She is 6. I am aware of they type of exams she'll need to do for grammar/independent entry. Will we need to send her to prep school or is it possible that she can be 'prepped' by a state school. I am confident that I can do this myself at home but dp thinks only a prep sachool will make the difference.

I know that it's some years off but need to think about schools now. I don't want to unsettle her unecessarily.

My title doesn't make sense btw. It should read Greater Man/Cheshire state schools.

There are preps linked with withington, Manchester high and probably some of the other private schools. State schools won't really help but some private primaries will also prep for entrance exams. If you don't change schools you might need to think about extra tuition.
