Relative merits of junior schools in Loughton / Buckhurst Hill area

Hello,
Will be moving to the area in a few months and have a child currently in year 2 so want to know about schools (state only) for years 3 to 7.
So far the ones on my radar are:
Staples Road, Loughton;
St John's, Buckhurst Hill;
White Bridge, Loughton;
Buckhurst Hill Community school.
It seems that St John's is by far the best. But of the others how different are they? In which areas are they good and which not so good? Is there any reason to prefer one over another?
Thanks in advance for any information you can give.

Given the similarity in all of their test results and ofsted ratings why do you think St Johns is the best?

Which test results are you looking at and where are they available?

The Ofsted ratings (and the details given within the reports) are better for St John's. Though of course all the reports are a few years old. And the report for Staples Road is for the junior school alone whereas it's now been combined with the infant school under new leadership.

I've visited St John's, Staples Road and Buckhurst Hill. St John's looked better than the other two.

Do you know the schools/area? What are you own impressions?
