My DD currently attends the Nursery. We are at present eligible for the Nursery, although may not be for reception as the school is over subscribed and it depends on siblings etc. I have put this school down as our first choice as it is excellent.

We are do to move in a few weeks near to the school that I have put down as second choice. If we do not get first choice due to oversubscription or second choice due to distance. Can I appeal due to moving to the area?

We will not hear for another couple of weeks and realy dont want third choice school. (As it is near where I live now and not as good as present school.)

Hope that all makes sense, it is all very complicated!

Moving to the area is not grounds for a successful appeal I'm afraid. As GiddyPickle says, what matters is the address at which you were living at the time of application. However it should move you up the waiting list.

Thank you for your help. I will literally be living round the corner from scond place school so hopefully if there is a waiting list then that will put DD very near the top.
