the dare programme says it offers " Life skills education in a drug aware world" My daughters class are being offered this.. Year 5.. in May. I think it is age inappropriate to give education to children about issues that will not be affecting them until they are another few years older. Even then the parents..if they effectively comunicate with their children know the best time to bring up subjects and how to help their own child. Does anyone else have a problem with this being taught in the class. They don't need to know the effects of drugs on your body and explaining that if you take these thing can make you feel "High" is going to possibly make some children experiment with things they previously didn't know about. Do they need to know that their drinks can be " Spiked" ? At 10............
