For forthcoming History Day, we did Florence Nightingale last year, quite a few girls going as Anne Frank....so ideas gratefully received.

Some sort of Queen so you could just have a dress of the period so Victorian, Elizabethan (could be Elizabeth or Mary (1st or Queen of Scotts) or one of Henry's 6, Medieval could be Elizabeth Woodville or Margaret (Beaufeut (sp) or D'Anjou.
Lady Astor
Rosalind Franklin or Marie Curie, presumably both wore white coats.

YYY Joan of Arc Smile DD3 went as Joan of Arc one year and it was easy - trousers, sleeveless jacket in grey-blue, peasant blouse, ankle boots.

DD4 went as Rosa Parks - simple straight skirt, blouse buttoned to the neck, simple hat which was a summer sun hat covered in fabric, glasses, tights, slip on shoes and white gloves, plus handbag.
