Moving schools, 2 reception children

Given the rather large catelogue of problems with my twins school in the last week and half I am starting to seriously consider moving schools. But I'm clearly in a difficult position. I have 1 with SEN which aren't being met and one with medical needs which require administration of medication during the school day.

I wouldn't want to seperate them up, they would need to go to the same school. The likelyhood of me finding a school with 2 reception places this early in the school year is low. What is my position with regards admissions if I can get 1 into my 3rd choice school but not the other? Would I have no choice but to keep the other on the waiting list and in the failing school until a place became available?

Yes. They can offer just one twin a place.

Would home education be an option while you wait for a place at a school that can keep your children safe?

You can withdraw them from school straight away and put them on the waiting lust for every other school.

indigobell I would be prepared to keep ds at home, in fact we had wanted to defere his entry but couldn't. His education is still at the level of potty training and working out which hand to hold his pen in. He would miss out on the social side though which I feel is important for him.
