So I'm totally knackered! DS1 started this week, half days only. Seems to be enjoying himself (he's a very unreliable witness; keeps telling me they've done PE, which they haven't). So independent that when I go with him into the classroom to read to him (as encouraged by school) at drop off time (involving some very careful planning and some very fast cycling to get me to work on time-ish), he says "you can go now, I want to play" and off he goes without a backward look. So excited about it that he keeps waking at 430-5 to tell me about it (and not going back to sleep...)DD2 is NOT happy and screams blue murder at being removed from classroom. And appears to resent being deprived of brother's company all morning (I am not sufficiently exciting, it seems...)
Logistics of life just got a whole lot more complicated now I'm collecing 2 children from 2 different places on working days. I'm tired. Am I going to manage a whole term?
Does it get easier? Or worse when they're doing whole days and the novelty wears off?
