hi can anyone let me know what the limit is for primary school children to have to walk to a potential bus stop? I have used map my run, and where i think there are 2 possible pick up points, one is 1.92 miles away, and the other.88miles away? Is the first one too far for them to walk legally? Thanku

Does your dd have a transport element written into her statement Riven? If so they can't muck it about, if not then in theory they could but "Local authorities should take any disability or special educational needs into account when deciding whether transport is necessary for a child." so it's unlikely they will.

iirc Riven you have MS, as a result the LEA have a responsibility under the DDA to make 'reasonable adjustment' which includes provision to assist you getting dd to school.

You have two separate very good grounds to argue that you need school transport beyond 8 years.

Have they offered a taxi? I'd find it very surprising that they would fund one.
