i think he is little old for his spiderman undies , but he keep telling me that im the only one who make a big deal of it . how i can make him to stop wear theme

If he's happy I would leave him

Maybe buy some plain ones and if he wants to wear them they are there

Spider-Man is quite "cool" ATM though I think

My husband had batman boxers on yesterday
He is 33
Should I stop him wearing them? No I shouldn't as it's his choice, the same as your son has made his own choice of undies

BikeRunSki Sat 04-Jan-14 08:21:27

Erm....cartoon undies come in adult sizes too. DH wears them. I don't think it's that much of a big deal.

jenwa Sat 04-Jan-14 08:22:48

I for some batman ones goes DH grin. They sell the comic ones everywhere. It's a bit of fun really. I think if no one is bothering him about if (not that anyone would really be looking at his pants) then I would leave him to he happy wearing them.

jenwa Sat 04-Jan-14 08:24:33

Ahh sorry I phone auto correct! 'I got some Batman ones for DH'

My DH only wears boxers that have cartoons on them.

GobblersKnob Sat 04-Jan-14 08:25:46

Why do you want him to change? 'Responsible teenager'? He is only 13 and what does that have to do with his underwear anyway? confused

tinyturtletim Sat 04-Jan-14 08:27:26

Pick your battles

ShatnersBassoon Sat 04-Jan-14 08:27:41

It's his choice.

lia66 Sat 04-Jan-14 08:28:02

My. 16 yr old ds got Simpson boxers for Christmas, alongside his Calvin's but I know he'll wear them all just the same. No big deal .

Mikkii Sat 04-Jan-14 08:29:05

He will tell you when he wants different pants.

DS is 9, he likes trunks with the exposed elastic waistband. Recently, he took all the trunks with "hidden" elastic and put them in the bin, saying he hates them, and he has told me numerous times. They were getting too small and he was making a point.

thekus Sat 04-Jan-14 08:30:00

will he said allot of boys wear theme ,

nagynolonger Sat 04-Jan-14 08:31:26

LOL at responsible teenager!

Buy him the underpants he wants. If he's not bothered about other lads seeing them in the changing room why are you?

TheRobberBride Sat 04-Jan-14 08:31:29

If he likes them and wants to wear them then what is the problem? If they are made in his size then presumably he's not the only 13 year old still wearing spiderman underwear.

What does being a 'responsible teenager' have to do with his pants? confused I'd only be concerned if he wasn't changing them regularly!

I don't think this is something that you need to get het up about OP.

LTB, obvs a lost cause

His pants, his business. Although I might not be saying that when DD is 13 and I find some frilly knickers or worse a g-string shockgrin

I would be delighted if at the afe of 13 she still wears Peppa Pig knickers!

BenCohenismyChristmaswish Sat 04-Jan-14 08:37:05

My seventeen year old son wears Sesame Street adult underwear which is readily available on the High St!!! I have seen ladies SS underwear available too at Asda!

Sorry OP but the title of your post made me giggle. My DH still wears themed boxers, batman etc. He was delighted when I bought him bazinga boxers for Christmas, his mates were envious. And he is a responsible adult despite this "fault".

dawntigga Sat 04-Jan-14 08:41:24

what, exactly, is your issue with cartoon underwear? How is it wrong to wear them?

WondersAtTheReasonTiggaxx

his pants, his choice

ILoveAFullFridge Sat 04-Jan-14 09:06:38

This has got to be a spoof thread, surely!

rpitchfo Sat 04-Jan-14 09:06:56

I sometimes wear them over my trousers...^superman theme fades in^

absentmindeddooooodles Sat 04-Jan-14 09:58:52

My dp has such a random selection of boxers...I dont think theres any plain ones in there! Batman, bazinga, marvel, even a couple of christmas pairs. Meh.

dawntigga Sat 04-Jan-14 12:17:23

rpitchfo do you live in the Vale Royal area or could you move? We have some fabulous characters around here ranging from Johnny Depp woman to Elvis woman. I feel that wearing their pants over their trousers person would complete our set grin

I bought my 11 year old lots of plain pants for his first term at secondary.

He is still wearing his Simpsons pants!

muppetthecow Sat 04-Jan-14 12:27:33

Judging by what's on the clothes airer in the corner, DH pants have been Thundercats, Star Wars, Mr Hanky the Christmas Poo, and Danger Mouse over the past few days. He's 33.

He does have 'smart pants' to go under his suit when he has occasion to wear it though. I think he's afraid to go to a posh 'do' in cartoon pants grin

Rosencrantz Sun 05-Jan-14 21:22:20

When girls are on the scene he'll stop wearing them by himself. Don't worry.

BackforGood Sun 05-Jan-14 22:11:48

Not necessarily Rosencrantz - my ds is 17 and much prefers his cartoon character underwear.
As others have said - he will tell you when he wants plain ones for a bit before he reverts back to more 'fun ones as he gets older.

Really had to laugh at the words "responsible" and "teenager" sitting next to each other as if that were a 'thing' though grin

CalamitouslyWrong Sun 05-Jan-14 22:16:24

Responsible teenager is an oxymoron. grin

I have to keep telling my 13 year old off for wearing his brother's pants (boxers). DH doesn't seem to be able to tell the difference between pants for a 4 year old and pants for a 13 year old so he just bungs a selection in both of their drawers. DS1 just pulls on whatever pair comes first and doesn't seem to notice that the age 3-4 ones are a bit tight!

Patilla Sun 05-Jan-14 22:17:14

There are ladies sesame street pants at Asda?

Awesome! That's my Monday planned!

Nataleejah Mon 20-Jan-14 13:38:56

Get him some of Hello Kitty for a joke :D
