Money for chores?

Got 4 ds who all do chores. One of the elder ones has asked if he can do more chores to earn money :)

How much would you say for washing, drying and putting clothes away?

I used to hoover downstairs, mop the kitchen floor, dust the living room and clean my own room once a week, and also walk the dog after school everyday for £20 a week.

I do this with dss and dsd, they put prices to the chores so for putting their own washing on they get 50p per load and the same for putting it in the dryer and they get 20p for every walk they take the dog on. keeping their rooms tidy doesn't get a payment unless it's because dd has been in and made a mess!

In our house no one gets paid for doing housework. We all live in the house so we're all responsible for helping to run the house and keep it clean and nice.
We do pay for extra jobs, like washing the car, gardening, spring cleaning jobs

I agree with gabs chores/housework you just do or you lose fun stuff. Any money is for the above and beyond, so washing the car.

We work on a basis of about £3/hour, so it depends roughly on the length of the job. 10 minutes = 50p, etc.
