DD9-is this normal?

DD who is 9 and a half has recently started showing signs of becoming more aware of herself. She wriggles around when she is sat on the sofa watching tv and on a couple of occasions I have found her with hands between her legs. She has also started showing an unusual interest in my body, especially my boobs. Should I be worried by her behaviour and has anyone else experienced the same?

It's normal for her to become more aware of her body. Now might be a good time to talk to her about the difference between boys and girls and the basics about sex if you haven't done that yet. Also emphasise that it's quite ok to explore your own body and that this can be very enjoyable, but it's something you only do in private.
