And how tall are they? Do they still wear children's range clothes?

Dd1 was probably starting to look at wearing a size 8 as she developed curves quite early on.

Dd2 is still in age 9-10Shock . She's tiny and very skinny. She doesn't care though Smile

I think there will be a huge variation in the answers you get - some children will already be well into puberty and growth spurts by 12 (particularly girls) while others will still be more child-like.

Mine have always been tall for their ages, and hit puberty early. At age 12 DS was about 5'8" and had been wearing adult clothes (TopMan size S) for a year or so.

DD is now aged 10, nearly 11, and is already 5'2" and wearing an adult size 8/10. She will probably be her adult height by age 12 (I was 5'5" by then, and still am).

DD is 12 1/2 and 5'7", currently in an adult 10-ish bottom and larger top. She had broad shoulders and chest and long legs so needs a long length in trousers. It's a nightmare!

My daughter is nearly 12, petite and only 140cm (she was only 44.5cm when born so was never going to be massive). With puberty, she has grown as massive 12cm since September, but I think she will slow down now. At the moment she's wearing mainly age 10 clothes. Her shoe size in only 1! Luckily for her, there are another couple of girls who are slightly smaller, so she's not the smallest.

Dd is 13 and wears kids size age 12 or adults size 6.

She is 5'5" but very very slight and we need the size for length but have to belt or pull in elasticated waists.

DD is 12 next month, but hit puberty early, periods at 9.
She's around 5'1 (I'm 5'2 and she's a wee bit shorter), size 8-10, 34b boobs and size three feet, same size as me, we can share clothes and shoes.
I don't expect her to grow much more as she hasn't much in the last year, and I didn't either after 12/13.

Netto if your daughter is a size 8-10 then she is almost definitely wearing the wrong size at a 34B.
Go look at the bra intervention threads, I would be surprised if she was anything over a 30 back.

DD1 wears 10-11 or sometimes 11-12 trousers. Shes 12yo.

Tops she wears age 13 though has started buying adult size stuff, normally size 8 as she likes baggy tops.

She's quite short, maybe a bit over 140cm????

DD wore age 11-12yrs (or even 10-11yrs for waist on skirts) at that age. Even adults size 6 was too long on the arms. She started her periods at 12 and was a B-cup. She is about 5'3" and a size 6-8 now aged 14, and a 28D.

DS (12) is 5'6 or 7" and is wearing adult men size S or 28" waist trousers. Age 15 in boys uniform.

DS still in a boys age 12 clothes. He is convinced he's little for his age - he does seem quite small compared with a lot of children. However, he is and has always been 'bang on' with wearing the right clothes for his age, so assuming he is within the height parameters he should be!

DS is aged 11, 5' 7", size 10 feet, wearing men's medium/32 or 34 waist depending on cut/where they come from.

It's an expensive nightmare especially shoe-wise.

DS aged 12 wearing size 5 shoes and age 12-13 in clothing. He has always been bang on with size to age ratio, just assumed he was normal height. Looking at other posts here.......he's obv a pygmy.

ds is 10

yes TEN and he is in size 8 shoes and size 13-14 clothes except trousers which has has to have 2 sizes smaller as he wears them so low down on his skinny bum

Grrrrrr (went shopping with him yesterday for trousers -sigh-)

dd1 is 8 and in size 9-10 all ready so she is going the same way

I should have married a midget.

We might need to make a date to come back in four years time to see what height they are then....

DS has never been tall for age (and definitely still isn't) but I have no doubt that by the time he's 16 he will be at least 6 feet tall - DW and I were both late developers and are confident that he's following the same growth pattern.

DD (who is very tall for her age) is another matter entirely!

FWIW InMySpareTime, DS only wears size 2 1/2 shoes at 12 going on 13 - but big feet don't run down the male lines on either side so fully anticipate he'll never go beyond a 7 1/2 shoe size!

DS doesn't have genetics on his side, I'm 5'0", DH is 5'7. I am smaller than most of the 11YOs on this thread (I wear size 6-8 or age 13 clothes), and there's not even hope of a growth spurt in my mid thirtiesGrin.

DD2 does 11-12
DD1 didn't she was around a 10-12 adult or a next age 16, a real pain because she was 5'2" ish and didn't have adult boobs, so stuff was too long and tops didn't fit.

She is now 5'6"+ and a perfect size 12, at 15 she's still wearing some of those tops and they now fit perfectly.
