Your DDs 9-12 how regularly do they shower?

My DD, currently 9 showers twice a week.

I know opinion on daily showering varies greatly but I don't want to end up being the mother of a teen who just wont get in the shower at all.

I wonder if getting her into the habit of a daily shower now will help it become the 'norm' by the time she reaches her teens and I will be less likely to face a battle...?

Thoughts, please. Smile

DD (11) showers between 2/3 times a week, but I am encouraging her to shower more, especially after dancing.

My SC's were vile at this age - needed to be reminded to shower otherwise they just didn't! Fast forward a couple of years and they monopolise the bathroom...
I think every couple of days is ok generally or after sports. Depends a bit on puberty too - once they hit that they need more frequent showers or get a bit whiffy.
Many people will disagree with me, but I don't think daily showers are worth fighting over.

Couple of times a week. If she comes in sweaty (PE last thing for eg) then I gently say "Shower" and make it friendly but not optional! :)

DS a bath a night, DD a shower daily. They still do, both adults now.
It became the norm for them.

DS2 (11) has a shower every night. Sporty type and starting to smell a bit 'manly'.

Pretty much every night.

2-3 times a week about the same as her 15y sister. I honestly don't know, periodically damp children appear to say good night and damp towels appear on the floor.

No one here showers everyday, and only very rarely does any one shower in the morning (except me).

So long as people's hair looks clean and no one smells I really don't get the point of the huge time, water, wasting, stress causing rigmarole of daily showers.

I should add damp towels are supposed to go on the radiator, but that is completely beyond my family.

Ds (10) showers every morning.

He usually has a bath to as dd makes him get in with her for entertainment Grin which I encourage as it gets me out of bath time duty

DD1 (10) showers (or has a bath) everyday. About a year ago she started to get a bit smelly after school/in the morning, so I figured puberty was just around the corner and wanted her to get into the habit of daily showering.

Every evening before bed, but sometimes will find a damp child wandering around in the morning or will find myself with company in the shower!!!

My DS (9) showers most evenings before bed - I'd say six nights out of seven - he only skips a shower if the evening's run away with us and it's got too late.

Most nights, definitely 5-7 more sometimes. She is 9 and obsessed atm, but at least her obsession means she's clean.
Beautiful pretty smelly stuff was what started her obsession. Grin I have known her shower 2/3 times a day if she has a new smelly thing to try.

I'm just starting to encourage more showering for dd11 as I thought I caught a whiff of onion arm pit after dancing one day.
Not easy though is it? Dirty tikes. Grin
She likes to get in the bath with her toddler sister tho so that notches up a few more.
