That's it really and its making me sad.

DD1 has always been the good girl, top of the class, prefect, volunteers for everything, alter server at mass ( although I suspect this was just because her bff does it lol ) and just generally really easy to handle.

The last few weeks her behaviour to her sister (8) has been getting worse and worse. They share a room ( no space to separate them ) and last night she STAMPED ON HER SISTERS FACE because she was opening and closing a musical book. Now I get that it was annoying and DD2 does know how to wind people up and she just does chat/make noise constantly but bloody hell !!!
DH was fuming and ended up using a swear word when shouting at her and she just sneered at him that "adults shouldnt swear at children "
She was right of course but it was the petulant sneery way that she told him. She didn't address the point of stamping on her sisters face at all !! To be honest the amount of times she has hit DD2 in the last few months is just silly.

She ridicules her sister constantly, refuses to sit next to her on the sofa, wriggles away from her ( DD2 is very tactile ) and tells her to shut up constantly. She has started to back chat me, which 3-4 months ago would have been unheard of. She is lethargic all the time, being very lazy, refusing to get dressed at weekends, refusing to come shopping with me ( unless I offer bribe to buy her something ) whereas before she would have begged to come. She isn't eating properly, says shes full all the time, and is just.....different ??

is this the start of puberty ? Should I get blood test or something ? Is sibling fighting like this normal ?

I think you'll find this is very normal in the run up to puberty. I found a council run parenting course for teenagers very useful.
