12 year old ds and superdry?

Ds has been pretty good about not wanting brands and accepts that i cannot afford the big names but this morning i made him wear his matalan coat for school and he was really upset!

He wants a superdry.... Are they really worth the money?? Is this 'normal' for preteens? And if i agree, where is the best place to get one?

Thanks in advance for your wisdom! Grin

My friend's ds has one, she said it's really good quality, nice and warm and waterproof. I'd always look on ebay listings to avoid paying stupid money.

Superdry is a lovely brand, and it's British with a good ethical business practice.

Superdry washes well too. Try and pick up second hand from eBay or the outlet.
I think it's good brand for a teen, not silly dear ether, or it is dear enough thou

Both my Ds's have Superdry coats and clothes. Always wash and wear well. I wash the coats, stick them in the airing cupboard on a hanger and they are dry by morning.

Well worth the money IMO. Pretty certain I paid about £65 each for the coats.

DS1 is 14 and DS2 will be 12 in November.

Btw, you can get them online - Superdry have a store in Meadowhall, or House of Fraser stock it, and some "boutiques" stock the brand (among others) too.

Get him to have it for Christmas or at least do some chores to earn a donation towards it.
A DF said her daughter became much less keen on designer sports wear when she got a job. turning the price tags into hours behind a shop till was a real eye openerGrin

My dad has a Superdry coat and pronounces it very good quality, warm and waterproof and generally worth the money. He just turned 70. Grin

Your ds agrees to wear a COAT to school? Wow!

Wow indeed! DD1 lost her school fleece for 4 months and didn't seem very bothered. Went in her Sainsbury's smart one (as I said no designer brands here) a couple of times when it really cold, but generally says a coat won't go in her locker so they are just a pain.
