Should I send my ds to pre-school at 2?

Thoughts please.

My ds is 22 months old. I have another ds aged 8. I am a sahm.

My youngest obviously see other children whilst we take older ds to school, swimming, soft play, park etc, but all my friends have older children so he doesn't really get to play one to one with children his own age.

He's quite reserved around people and tends to stick with me.

Anyway..... I've been wondering whether to put him in a pre-school when he's 2 ( end of August ) for 2 mornings a week, to help build his confidence with other children and to help him mix. But then I feel bad and wonder if I should wait till he's 2.5 and send him then.

Any thoughts or advice would be welcome.

Entirely depends upon the child. Is he in your opinion 'ready for it'. For some 2 year olds it would be too much too soon, for others (particularly those with older siblings I find) they are chomping at the bit to go to Pre-school.
