I know a couple of people offered earlier - or even if you didn't - i'm desperate. We have Ofsted in, and our CPP is not good enough. the nice Ofsted lady suggested that I might have "mislaid" the updated version and that if i could find it tonight she'd be grateful! Themain issue is that we don't have aprocedure for what happens if allegations are against the CPO. Obviously those would be aised to me as chair, but what do i do then? I don't think it is actually social servics anymore that i have to notify is it?

Ask the PLA for up-to-date versions?

I worked in Child Protection upto 12 months ago - any referrals would come into our department via our Customer Services Officers who took all referrals and passed on to us - some referrals would come via social workers especially for educational establishments who had contacts with Childrens Services social workers but you might be better to try and find out from your local CP Unit - can you ring them first thing and ask if they have a referral number (would be surprised if they didnt!) - That was our local authorities official route - even if we had a referral via a social worker it would still need to be logged with Customer Service Officers to follow the correct procedure HTH
