Hi there

my ds (2 1/2yo) is going to visit his new pre school next week - I have been asked to write down a list of questions I might want to ask as some parents forget whilst there which I can understand! I have got a few questions but any others anyone can suggest would be welcomed!

Does anyone actually know what the child:staff ratio should be by the way?

under 3's I think 1:4,over 3 1:8.
Not certain though.

Don't forget to have a good look around too , especially at the children/staff relationships. And don't be afraid to follow your gut feeling about whether it will suit your DS.

Luckily they have arranged for my ds to go in for snack time with the other children while i ask questions and look round then we can stay till the end of the session so about an hour altogether which I though was a good indicator ?! Am also very very nervous about him going - my dd is 5 and in reception and ds is my last baby and ive always been at home with him so will struggle to "let go"

Just think of all that 'me time' once he starts
That does sound good re visit, hope it goes well.
