yes, if the others will be wearing it.

I will probably be shot down in flames but from personal experience, my DS was so excited to wear his little school polo shirt.

wait and see if the others do. Both dd and ds1 had the option and nobody wore it at ds1's school and only a few at dd's so I never bothered. You've got plenty of years to come with spending £10 on nasty acrylic jumpers for the sake of school logos so wait if you can.

At both preschools near me some wear it some dont. (most dont)
Its just a sweatshirt and I got one for DD1 but she complained it was too hot etc etc so never bothered with one for the others.

When it came to photo time the staff popped sweatshirts on them all for the photo then took them off again.

I never bothered - uniform was optional - they spend yrs at 'big' school in uniform, why add to it?.

I did get a bookbag though

If you have the choice, it's a personal decision really. My dd goes to nursery whereby uniform is requested as it is attached to the main school. I don't mind this, in fact I like it because
a) All the children look so smart and they feel part of the 'big children's world'
b) There is no competition between the children as to who has got what trendy clothes/ shoes etc.
c) Saves on normal clothes, they don't get grimy and wrecked at school (paint, glue, playing outdoors etc.)

I did

It makes them all feel alike & saves her good clothes for weekends It also looks nice when they have visitors. Yesterday her school had a mass service & all the children looked so smart in their uniforms.

But I suppose it's a personal choice

When dd1 had been at preschool for about 6 months i did buy a uniform because i was sick of her clothes being ruined. Also i do think that it helps children to get used to the whole 'uniform ' thing.
