I have posted this on another thread but got no response. So trying here instead.DS has had itchy bottom since friday. Have found no worms on poo or bum!I have been using drapolene and savlon thinkin it was just itchy. Anyway last night he said it wasnt itchy any more and this moring he said it was fine, but when we got to his pre school he said that it haad started again. I sent him in and phoned the drs when I got home and they said that if it was worms we would have sen them definitely but they will treat him for it "just in case". So now I dont know if I should go and get him or leave him there and whether to send him tomoro. Any thoughts?

no point taking him home now as pre-school is probably where he got them in the first place!(if he does have them), advise the pre-school that you are treating him for worms as they need to know, so that they can ensure children wash their hands after going to the toilet etc.

My dd got them after her pre school broke up at xmas. We treated her with Ovex which you can buy over the counter.
I would leave him off for the week to make sure it has passed.
FWIW, we didnt see any worms either but all dd would say was that she had spiders up her bottom
