Can't decide what to do about preschool.

Hi all

I can't decide what to do about preschool for DS. We have registered with a preschool for when DS is 2.25 and when we did, we asked for Tuesday to Thursday mornings. However, I'm now wondering whether this is going to be too much for him initially and whether we should only put him in for two mornings a week.

I am due to have another baby in the next few weeks.
We have an awesome nanny who works Tuesdays to Thursdays. DS is getting lots out of the time he spends with her so perhaps it would be sensible to ask for say Wednesday and Friday mornings? Assuming they will let us do that.

What did you all do about preschool?

Our pre-school decides for you! The older children in the year go 3 mornings per week, Mon, Wed & Fri. The younger ones do Tue & Thur.

My DS2 who will be 3 end of October has just started the 3 mornings and even though he is pretty robust - it wears him out!

The rest days in between I am keeping low key at the moment and he needs that for recovery time.

I would go for two non-consecutive days if I were you. They are lomg terms and the children will get very tired by the end of them.

Thanks jazzanddh. Yes, I was thinking it might be a bit too much for him.

It depends on your child, you know him best!

My 2yo DC2 does 2 mornings at a pre-school and a nursery and still bounces off the walls at bedtime, barely naps at all! He would probably be fine with even more time at the preschool TBH, he never wants to leave!
