How's your Monday ladies?
I am Mumsnetting for five mins after
swimming lesson (wrestling other child poolside) soft play and Stay and Play. These kids want more! Need five mins to switch my brain off.
We are watching Nina and The Neurons - that girl clearly does her own hair and make up.

Evenimg ladies. Today has been filled with appointments for Apollo and the twin boys' first dentist appt - chaos! We received good and bad news regarding Apollo but nothing to be overly worried about right now.

Pipsmilkmaid - Apollo's the same, I can virtually drink it but cannot touch the stuff with him around. I do love a good milkshake and Horlicks though! Grin

Not a first as soon as they saw the dentist and the chair, they got quiet and started cry but my adorable ds1 who is only 5yo promised to sit in the chair with them which seemed to do the trick. In the end the twins took turns on laying on their brother which the dentist did the check-up. They were fasinated by the sucker and started giggling and the dentist was amazing with them so I think it wouldn't be a problem next time. I hope!

Evening all. MultipleMama your ds1 sounds lovely.
I'm on week three of introducing solids ds doesn't like water but hv said it was ok as he bf but the poor thing has had tummy ache and hard poo today. I've managed to get him to take a couple of oz of water but he's been attached to the boob for most of the day.

Oh dear. I end up with DS in bed with me around 6ish! I kinda enjoy the cuddles though. Rod and back spring to mind for me though. I'm sure i will regret it!!! Good luck for tonight Pip.
What inspired people's user name? I've got very curly hair like the Fraggles off Fraggle Rock, it was my nickname xx

Ds sleeps with me we've just bought a bedside cot that I'm working on transitioning him to but the cuddles are lovely.
Pip was ds nickname when a bump and he's a boobie baby would spend all day if he could.
Night Fraggle and everyone else. X

I wish A was a sleeper. Seems he'd rather scream and cuddle than sleep. Doesn't help that he's a light sleeper and his own monitors wake him up when he desats. We have noticed he sleeps longer when his twin is napping but when she wakes up - he does. A very annoying cycle that I don't know how to break! I always think A is a daddy's boy, if he wants settling; he wants DH.

My username is basically 'what it says on the tin' Mama of 6DC, 4 of which are twin sets.

Off to bed now to try and catch a few winks before one of them wakes up! Night ladies.

Mines a very old nickname. Feeling a bit down today. Running a half marathon on Sunday for prem charity. I'm not athletic and this has been a huge challenge but I've got a head cold and I've hurt my knee. Really feeling like I'm going to struggle now. Just putting kids to bed.

Valdeeves - don't put yourself down, the fact that you're taking part is what counts and I bet a load of people will be proud of what you're doing and what you're doing it for :)

Anybody is welcome here! So welcome :)

Today has been stressful and it's my 24th birthday tomorrow. Had planned a family meal but due to stubborn PiL and their insensitivy plus Apollo not doing so good we've cancelled it and now I just plan on sleeping while I can and trying to manage 6DC on no sleep. However my dad is flying over tomorrow so at least I have something to look forward to.

Today is one of those days were I just want to lock myself in my room and let them deal with themselves and hope they shut up. Awful I know. It was so much easier in hospital, Apollo was so much easier and calmer in hospital and sometimes I just want him to be like his placid and happy twin instead being just a miserable baby...

I should sleep and stop ranting but just my luck that his monitor went off and now he's waking up... night ladies!

Well done you Val. I agree with MMama. Just force feed yourself tons of pasta and energy drinks the day before. That's how i got round one.
MMama, i hear you. DH is snoring and didn't wake for DS's bottle so i will now being doing all the night feeds. I might just go sleep in the spare room and leave them to it Confusedx
Welcome Liven xxx

Can I join too? Our DS was born in Aug 13 at 27+2, due to fetal-maternal haemorrhage - a very rare thing which usually results in loss of baby. We were in NICU for 10 weeks, and he was discharged in Oct at 37 weeks. So now we're heading towards 7 months (4 months corrected). All going well now, but beginning to struggle a bit with weight gain. He's fully breastfed and we use cloth nappies - but honestly, I'm just normal - not a lentil-weaver!! We've started weaning (so much fun - and mess!) and next consultant check is in a couple of weeks.

I do get a bit lonely, especially as he came out of hospital at the beginning of RSV season, but we went for a walk this morning - what a beautiful day it is!

How are you dealing with the food allergies Miss? Does it make feeding really tricky?
Welcome Heart. Cloth nappies, you're brave! We are starting weaning soon. Can i ask what food you tried first? A lot of the baby rice/cereals seem to have sugar in them. I'm going to try carrot first i think xx
