I purchased some lovely over the bump ones from mamas &papas, but they are now tight near my c section scar but nowhere else which is frustrating. I'm 22 weeks, but I don't really want to buy another expensive pair. Any ideas? smile

H&M is the answer!

GeordieCherry Mon 29-Jul-13 14:52:22

Try Dorothy Perkins jeggings under your bump. Might not work with your c- scar but I just got these a size bigger

AnythingNotEverything Mon 29-Jul-13 14:56:04

H&M for me too. Really comfy, long legs (great for me!) and cheap.

I had to size up though. Nothing to do with all the cake I've eaten.

suntodayplease Mon 29-Jul-13 15:00:33

H&M hands down. Normally wouldn't go there for jeans, but their maternity ones are the only ones to stay up and don't look frumpy. The selection online tends to be better than in store so you might have to order to get the style you want. Yes to sizing up, very small sizing was so relieved to read others had similar issues with sizing

mejypoo Mon 29-Jul-13 15:04:04

Bought done under bumpiness from new look, £9 in the sale!

mejypoo Mon 29-Jul-13 15:04:25

Some under bump!

Sorry auto correct

plentyofsoap Mon 29-Jul-13 15:37:27

Thank you will head into town next week and have a look smile

Bunnylion Mon 29-Jul-13 16:02:39

Ah skinny jeans, I vaguely remember them.

I bought some from Boden at 12 weeks but my bum didn't get in them past 20 weeks.

snickersnacker Mon 29-Jul-13 16:10:58

YY to H&M - be prepared to go up two sizes.

H&M, definitely, but I disagree with everyone who says you need to go up a size. Buy your normal size or possibly a size smaller if you want then very tight.

plentyofsoap Mon 29-Jul-13 16:34:53

Its difficult as my legs and bum are the same size (for now) but I seem to be carrying quite low this time round so I will order a few sizes and see how I get on.

FraggleRock77 Mon 29-Jul-13 16:48:54

Dorothy Perkins are great for skinny jeans. Tight on the legs and big round the waist. I'm up from a size 8/10 to a 14. I'm intending on avoiding the maternity ones just as long as i don't go over size 18! X

Hello
I love the Topshop Leigh jeans, I bought them after a recommendation on here and have since recommended them to pregnant friends. Sizing comes up about right at 22 weeks, at 7 weeks (when I had to start wearing them!) my normal size was on the large side. If you get the navy pair though, wash them on their own at least twice, the second time I put them through they dyed all the white lace on my pants silver sad

I bought some size 14 h&m waxed skinny jeans this weekend. I normally wear a 10/12 and they were very tight. I am only 16 weeks and have lost weight this pregnancy so far. They look great though.

karinmaria Mon 29-Jul-13 18:57:38

I loved the Topshop Leigh maternity jeans too. I think they're about £40. Asos also have some good maternity jeans and leggings. Both shops' jeans were still comfy at 38/39 weeks even though my bump was really low.

ALittleBitOfMagic Mon 29-Jul-13 18:58:27

Yy H&M smile

desertbaby Mon 29-Jul-13 18:58:36

HandM!

Dusty04 Mon 29-Jul-13 19:01:22

I've got topshop Leigh jeans too and love them. Bought my normal size.. They are a little big (am 18 weeks) but so comfy!

PeriodFeatures Mon 29-Jul-13 19:04:36

Mama's and Papas have a sale on at the moment. Great Jeans in the for £15a few weeks ago.

Pinkpumpkins Mon 29-Jul-13 19:35:03

Another vote for Topshop Leigh jeans! I love mine as they fit so well and are very comfy.

Jollyb Mon 29-Jul-13 19:47:47

2 pairs of top shop Leigh jeans have just got me through this pregnancy. I wore them from 18 weeks and am still wearing them post c section as they sit quite comfily over my scar.

PetraBaelish Mon 29-Jul-13 20:14:48

Oh I'm so glad I'm not the only one who finds H&M maternity jeans insanely small!! I have to buy them 2 sizes bigger than my normal jeans, at least - wore 26w jeans at the start of this pgcy but have to buy size 12 or 14 H&M jeans now at 16w; and seriously haven't gained THAT much!!
They are good looking jeans though smile I also bought some other maternity trousers there; again very stylish and not much money.

Teaandflapjacks Mon 29-Jul-13 20:17:19

like the others H&M - fabulous!!!

I have some seraphine ones that are in the sale (a purpley blue colour) and they're ok if I keep tumble drying them. However I'm going back to H&M based on what others are saying - I was so offended at how small they were last time when I tried my usual size but its good to know it wasn't just me smile

plentyofsoap Tue 30-Jul-13 08:11:17

thank you, there is quite a large h&m and topshop near me so will pop in and at least I can get an idea of sizes. I'm glad I have been pre warned about going a size up though!

JoJoManon Tue 30-Jul-13 13:02:03

Try ASOS also, they have and they are reasonably priced.
I've also seen some on SHOPBOP, but they are pricier, £100+ (James Jeans etc)

TarkaTheOtter Tue 30-Jul-13 13:10:28

I'm wearing my new asos cobalt blue maternity skinny jeans and they are great. Very true to size, supportive and stretchy. I'd say they are better than the h&m ones tbh. I am only 16 weeks though so not sure how long they'll stay comfy as they are below the bump style.

TarkaTheOtter Tue 30-Jul-13 13:11:19

I'm 5'9 and they're a good length too.

SadPander Tue 30-Jul-13 16:35:11

Topshop Leigh, don't think I will ever stop wearing them, even when not pregnant - they are the comfiest thing ever!

clucky80 Tue 30-Jul-13 16:42:32

I've tried loads but another vote here now for Topshop Leigh! They are sooo soft and comfortable - as comfortable as a pair of leggings I would say and they are v flattering too. I've got a couple of pairs. If after this baby I manage to get out of maternity clothes (!), I will definitely be buying the 'normal' Topshop Leigh jeans.

Rtfairy Tue 30-Jul-13 17:45:02

I have some lovely over bump skinnies from h & m. They were only about £15 I think. And like pp their sizes are very small. I'm a size 12 pre-pregnancy and had to buy a size 16. Glad it's not just me!

EmB1715 Tue 30-Jul-13 18:46:49

Beware ordering from H&M...done it twice and took around 5/6 weeks to arrive! Having said that, sometimes its the only option for their maternity wear as not all shops stock it!

Panzee Tue 30-Jul-13 18:49:26

I got some nice ones last winter from JoJo.
