Just bubbles or could it be our baby?

I'm 18 weeks pregnant today with my first. Yesterday afternoon but especially last night I could feel distinct 'bubbles' / 'pops' in my stomach. I'm 90% sure they weren't hunger pains etc but just find it so hard to believe that bubbles could possibly be our baby?

Any idea when you start to feel real kicks and when DH can feel them?

That's your baby. I felt dd from around 17 weeks. Was a bit like when you listen to loud music in a room with floorboards and you can feel the beat vibrating. That but inside me. It changes slowly but surely to proper movements.

DH couldn't feel her for quite a while as I had an anterior placenta cushioning the movements but from 25 weeks she was definitely making my stomach ripple.

Wow!!! Thanks Ladies!

I know it's silly to doubt it but for the last few days I've been like is that just my insides or is that baby, but yesterday it was DEFINITElY different and I can't possibly have been hungry!!

I got DH to look at my tummy but he could just se me breathing!!

I'm so pleased though, at the 16 wk appt, MW didn't do a doppler test which I was really disappointed about (apparently in our area they don't do that anymore) so been finding the last few weeks more of a worry (had an MC directly prior to this) but now I'm a tiny tiny weeney bit more positive after yesterdays bubbles.

Once you feel the bubbles though should you feel it every day?

It's really hit and miss at first. You can go days feeling nothing. They can move around a lot, are well cushioned and like to hide behind your pubic bone (hence why they won't doppler). Movement shouldn't be expected to be frequent for quite a few weeks yet.

Absolutely totally baby. It's a really weird feeling, isn't it? Not at all what I was expecting

thanks!, forgot to say that DH felt the first one (kick) as we were watching the football and he was telling the baby the rules, think he/she understood!
