Pie d'Angloys Cheese - yes or no?

Does anyone know whether you can have this in pregnancy?

On the box it says it is made with pasteurised milk, but it has a sort of rind on it - like a brie.

I am feeling rather paranoid at the moment as I accidently ate some salami without thinking and am now ultra paranoid!

Thanks

Pasteurised brie isn't okay, so I doubt this would be. The problem with soft cheese is that it can get listeria in it when being made, so after the milk is pasteurised.

I'd reluctantly agree with the above post. I think all cheeses of that consistency are out. I'd love a nice bit of Pie d'Angloys! However, I did read that the soft cheese is ok when cooked so baked camembert would be ok as cooking kills bacteria.
I did google cheese and found somewhere a list of what's ok. Thank goodness mozzarella is on the list!

Thanks for the replies. I will leave it then

In my Sainsbury's delivery they gave me a free box of it plus a big slab of Danish Blue. It's like they are trying to torture me!

OMG! That's not fair!

I think soft cheeses are okay if well cooked all the way through. I'd be wary of things like baked camembert though and would avoid goats cheese salad becaue you don't know that it's been cooked thoroughly all the way through for long enough to kill any bacteria.

Sainsburys have started putting warnings on all their non-preggo friendly cheeses. A bit like the "Fat birds with pony-tails not allowed" pictures on bottles of booze. Spent ages tormenting myself with all the cheese the fun police have banned me from eating last time I was in.

Ohh, I love this cheese.

I have avoided it, as even if it is pasteurised, it could still contain listeria.

How cruel to include those as your freebies!!

Goodness... I thought it was fine if its pasterised!!! I'm on my third preg and have been happily munching on this! At least I'm now 31 weeks, so now I know I won't have to go too long without .
