Hi, after reading Cheryl story in the Sun paper yesterday friday 25/6/10. I had to join this group and hopefully be of some help to other ladies that are going thru this. I hv 2 boys aged 8 and 4 1/2yrs old and i had this condition with both.

With my first pregnancy like everyone else i was suffering from morning sickness hoping it wld go after the first 3 months but no it didnt end in fact it got worse. After a lot of pressure from family members i went to my local hospital. Actually was wheeled in as i was so weak i cldnt even walk i only weighed abt 6 stone. I was admitted straight away and from then on the next 9 months was constantly in and out with sickness and hydration.

I must say the nurses were brillant and looked after me well. But the doctors were not so understanding i felt like they tht i shld just get on with it like try ginger biscuits etc etc pls. I cldnt even keep any food or drink down half the time.

I used to be so sick i was bringing up black acid from my stomach which was such a horrible burning when bringing it up i wld just sob and that wld last all night. I was given sickness injections and depositries to help with the sickness and when not being ill tablets. I used to think whats this doing to my baby but was reassured nothin wld harm it. I was even tested on for tring some sickness tablets they give to cancer treatment by blood tests showed it was effecting my liver so it was stopped.

To be honest i never felt pregnant i was scared i wldnt related to the baby but thankfully i did and lucky enough i was admitted one day and was being monitored when somethin wasnt rite with the heart beat and there and then i had a emergency cescaraen was really frightening.

When i had my second i tht i was mentally prepared as i knew what was coming and i was hopeful it mite even not but yes it did. i must admitt it wasnt as bad the sickness wasnt so servere and didnt lose as much weight as b4 but still i remmeber lying in the hospital thinking a few times i dont think i can go thru this again. So i can relate to Cheryl's story but i did get thru and was glad. It was somthing ill never forget and when i talked to people thay dont fully understand what i went thru why shld they.

I wld love to help other people going thru this or set up a group with ladies that hv also gone thru this.Peole that actually understand. So pls get in touch.

Would love to hear from u. Denise xx
