Is this my waters breaking? What to do? Help!

Have been sick and when I stopped noticed my pajama bottoms were soaking. Doesn't smell.

Could the heaving have caused waters to go? Am 38 wks - do I need to call the hospital now or can I wait and see what happens? Help!

I would advise wait and see if contractions start. Being sick sounds like it could be labour is on the way. But, of course, if you are not happy waiting to see, phone central delivery suite and ask for advice. Best of luck to you and your little one )

You need to call delivery suite and let them know. Amniotic fluid doesn't smell, so it isn't urine.

The concern with waters breaking is the possibility of infection, and they will want to keep an eye on things...

Oh, best of luck...

I would phone delivery unit to ask for their advice. They may ask you to come in to check whether it was your waters. You might have just wet yourself through heaving (it's not uncommon!)

You will need to get checked to see if it's your waters or not. If it is and your contractions don't start within 24 hours then you will have to be induced to prevent infections. There will be no detriment waiting until tomorrow morning though before going in to be checked (phone first). If you start in labour before then there is no issue! Good luck!

Thanks - rang maternity ward and they just said to wait and see, much as you ladies have! Have put on a pad.

Will ring them again in morning if nothing happens - doesn't feel like anything is tbh.

I guess I could have just wet myself - my pelvic floor is shot!

Oh well I can only wait and see I suppose!

My waters went just after been sick! I didn't go straight into labour though (had to be induced two days later) but there was no questioning it was my waters coz it just did not stop at all! Was a very weird sensation, like constantly weeing and not been able to stop so I would say you will know if it was your waters.
But sickness can be one of the clues to labour being on its way! Good luck, hope all goes well

With my first, I had sickness and diareah for two days, then my waters broke at 2am.
By 7am, my contractions were every two minutes!
Good Luck, could be soon?

I think I may have just wet myself you know! Because there have been no more developments and no more leakages.

Lovely.
