maternity/nursing bras on a budget...

hi ladies...am 33 weeks preg and feel i need to invest in some maternity/nursing bras now that will hopefully see me thru to breastfeeding too...however, im on a bit of a budget so does anyone have any recommendations that wont break the bank? xx

Go get measured in a shop, then EBAY!! got all my maternity bras off there brand new branded ones, ones that are in mothercare stores for £22, for £6. Plan to do the same thing in a few weeks when I need nursing bras

Im in the same situation. Have found some on very.co.uk, 2 maternity/nursing bras for £20, they have good reviews too...

I found Tesco's sports bras (approx £6) worked well as maternity bras when my breasts seemed to be growing a cup size every week.
However, at 33 weeks I'd wait a couple of weeks, if you can, then get measured for nursing bras, Bravissimo are great and I found John Lewis good too, I'd avoid M&S, found them useless.

My favourite nursing bra is an Elle McPherson one which is a comfortable stretchy material, currently in it's second year of use and is worn pretty much every other day.
Think it cost about £30 and price per wear it's bargain IMHO, it's outlasted most of the others I bought (Emma Jane and Bravado).

Also there are some good ones on ebay if you know your size.

I've got a feeling Sainsburys do nursing bras fairly cheaply.

Mothercare do quite nice cheap 2-packs.

A proper nursing bra can be great if you get a good fit, but I also find cheap stretchy bra top things (the kind you can get at gap or from sloggi, but a lot of places do them) are really good - they're comfy at night, they can cope with your boobs constantly changing size and they're easy to pull up for feeding.

Another vote for John lewis or Bravissimo for measuring. They usually recommend you're 37 weeks before fitting for nursing bras though. Don't forget for nursing ones you want to be on the last eyelet so you can tighten as your ribcage goes down (complete opposite to pg ones) and get ones with a bit of extra cup room.

Asda do 2 nursing bras for £8. They look fine but don't have my size

Or try the breastfeeding vests which I found much comfier and more practical than a bra. Also from H&M.
