Am I really this daft? TMI (sorry!)

Am 33weeks now and last night when I went to the loo before bed, there was a slight bit of fresh red blood on the paper. I looked down into the basin and it looked like there was also a faint trail through the wee of some additional blood/something that slid down into the part of the toilet that I couldn't see. I held the paper to my nether regions for a few more minutes, but nothing further came out. Now, I never had a "bloody show" with DD who arrived just before 37 weeks, so I don't really know what they look like. Was that it? Or are my piles starting to bleed? But I didn't poo, just weed...

Sorry, I know this sounds utterly daft that I don't know where the blood came from or what it was, that's why I haven't phoned the midwives - I don't drive and I didn't want to be phoning a taxi at 11pm last night just to find out that I have bleeding piles!? I was having a fair number of Braxton Hicks last night, but they settled right down and baby seems to be moving ok this morning. I also have an appointment with the midwife on Tuesday morning...think I can just leave it and casually mention it then? OTOH, I am classed as a high risk pregnancy and have weekly monitoring etc.... WWYD?

I would give midwife a ring just to put my mind at ease. She will have heard it all before and I'm sure they don't mind reassuring a pregnant woman.

Don't know what it was though. I was going to say a show but can't say for sure as I never had that either.

not daft at all, I'd phone your midwife hun, could be absoloutely anything. If not your midwife give nhs direct a quick call, at least to put your mind at rest. I wouldn't wait though even if it was just a little bit, fact that it was fresh and you're classed as high risk-get some reassurance hope all is ok xx

If it was fresh red blood I would definitely phone your midwife. I had a fair bit of staining throughout my second pregnancy but they were not too concerned as it was generally dark brown but fresh red blood means something. The fact that there isnt any more is a good sign though!
