This is my first pregnancy and I'm confused around how it works. The midwife explained it to me but it went out of my head, like most things these days!I'm 15wk tomorrow..also is anyone else doing antenatal classes out there that won't break the bank like the NCT ones?

Sometime during the last trimester I think.

Depends where you are, where I am, you have the antenatal ones that the midwife signs you up for are that you do at about 25 weeks, I think. But there are also ones run by the hospital here that are to do with breathing and labour positions that go quickly. I signed up early and they are at about 30 weeks.

Like hophophippidtyhop said depends on where you are.
I am in Norwich and my midwife said to book when I am 28 weeks and they will start when I am 32 weeks or something, I need to double check when they start but I remember she said 28 weeks book it cause they fill up fast x

the midwife asked about whether i would like antenatal classes at my booking appt, i said no as id done it two times before, but i later changed my mind, thinking it might be a good idea for DH as this is his frist (my 3rd), i called up when i was about 18 weeks to the midwives office and they told me when the classes were running, in my area (west dorset) we have the choice of 1 full days class or 4 weeks of an evening class.

Where I was it was asap. Had booking in at 12 weeks I think and MW told me to ring and book asap. Classes started at 34 weeks and I got the last place!
