I,m 35wks and since anround 6/7weeks I have suffered horrible nausea and vomiting. Although it isn't quite as bad as it was in the first 4 months, it has never gone away...not even for an hour (honestly) It's not hyperemises cos I can eat and drink sometimes and haven't been dehydrated but I can honestly say it's been hell. I,ve have all the usual meds from the doc and have probably tried everything suggested (no-one dare to mention the Ginger word!!)but alas nothing has worked. I know I have only 5 wks to go but I am so fed up with it.Just wanted to sound off and see if there were others to share my woes.

Karney - might be wrong but as i understand it what you are suffering IS hyperemensis even if you havent been deydrated... and yes its hell especially if you have it for the full 9 months so sound off as much as you want.

I'm not anywhere near as bad as you(i dont think i have hyperemensis) as i only get the nausea (and exhaustion) but Ive been leading this weird half life for 37 weeks(no appetite, hate food have to force it down, feel too rubbish to do much, bed by 7 as evenings are really bad and any physical activity makes the nausea worse) it is hell and i cant wait to get this baby out and feel normal again - phew, sorry for even longer moan than yours!

at least we are lot closer to 40 weeks than we were at 8 weeks

Karney I am exactly the same so you have my sympathies. I am currently 20 weeks with DC3 and am like it again - was the same in both other pregnancies.

Am sick every day until I give birth, have to have a very limited diet (which seems to change daily) and like you there is never a let up from the nausea. I think sometimes the nausea is worse than the actual sickness.

On a positive both times before it disappeared for me within literally minutes of giving birth - I was amazed at how well I felt.

Not quite so bad as you, as since 32 weeks (now 37) it hasn't always been every day, but it does keep coming back and getting me down every time I think it's going to leave me alone It is the pits and I feel for you.

I am so looking forward to getting this baby out and feeling well, it's been so long that I will probably feel like going out for a run or something else unimaginable right now. Let's hope that's true for all of us.

Thanks ladies, I didn't get a great deal of sympathy from the docs etc because I hadn't been dehyrated etc so they saw no great danger to the baby BUT....I honestly have struggled so much with just being constantly nauseated and at least sick once a day for the entire pregnancy. I too, cannot wait fot this baby to be out and even if I am dog tired with a new baby, at least I won't feel sick anymore. When I gave birth to my Ds the nausea left me almost instantly so here's hoping for the same result this time. A great incentive to get through labour eh?? thanks again for your replies, today I just needed someone else who knew how I felt. Family has been "nice" but they just don't know do they?? xxxx

I had hyperemesis with both my pgs. I am not having any more kids and I don't eat ginger or any ginger product on principle .

Even a feckin GP told me that a ginger biscuit when I woke up would cure it . I changed GPs and the new GP wanted me to be admitted to hospital straight away.

quite Vidia.
Me: 'I don't know what to do, I haven't been able to keep down anything for a week, even sips of water make me sick.'
GP: 'Have you tried ginger biscuits?'

Oh yes the ginger remedy suggestions from bloomin doctors of all people- drive you absolutlely mad suppose they are well meaning but when you are constantly sick nauseaus and exhausted with it, what you really want is someone to appreciate just how bad you feel!! I actaully tried ginger in all forms but the smell alone made me only feel sicker. Unfortuntaley none of the meds worked for me (cyclizine buccastem etc) A couple of meds I tried helped stop the vomiting in the first few months but nothing helped the relentless nausea . vidia I feel the same way - this is my 2nd pg and there will be no more, I just couldn't go through this again. Oh I love good moan about it,xxx

I have been like this too - second pg - and from 7 weeks I have felt sick, with bad indigestion, diarrohea sometimes. Just like I have a stomach upset. Tried a few meds which helped a bit but it has never gone away. Worst times were 9-14 weeks and around 23-27 weeks. I don't fancy food but HAVE to eat all the time to stop nausea, nothing worse than not wanting anything but having to force it down. And the taste in my mouth!

Even brushing my teeth STILL makes me retch and gag (am 33 weeks). Can't wait not to be pg.

The tiredness makes it all worse.

Huge sympathies but thank god it's not long now!
