Pregnancy

7 weeks - bloated feelling and mild cramps?

Hi, I've been feeling really rubbish today, I woke up last night with mild cramps in my tummy - felt like it might be trapped wind or something. But when I tried the obvious solution to that it didn't make much difference and have also had it on and off all day today.

This is my second pregnancy and I feel so much more bloated at 6 weeks this time and my tummy is much more bloated.

I'm thinking that the tummy thing could be where it's 'been there before' so is letting it all out a bit sooner, but the cramps are a bit of a worry - anyone else felt/feeling similar at this stage?

There are lots of other threads about this but just wanted to try and reassure you, this sounds normal - the cramp-y pains are supposed to be worse in subsequent pregnancies, and I also felt more bloated more quickly. They say don't worry unless you start to bleed or the pains are really bad.

Hmmmm have had blood tonight/this morning. Bright red and definitely enough of it to be concerned about, I'll call the doctor in the morning.

I feel really guilty as I haven't been sure of how I feel about this second pregnancy, had just come round to the idea and now looks like it wasn't meant to happen after all.

I know how you feel, I'm on my third pregnancy but so far none have gone right having lost my previous two. I'm now 7 weeks and two days and have the same cramp-y type pains and was losing clots two weeks ago. Having gone to the local early pregnancy unit I had a scan and was told that they weren't overly concerned, everything seemed fine. I know that you will be very very worried and I hope it all goes ok for you, no need to feel guilty about not knowing how to feel about your pregnancy, I'm going through the same thing. Hopefully your doctor will just tell you the same as me, that you're fine and to take it easy. Let me know how you go x

Hi Livvy - just back from the hospital - and it's still in there! I'm completely shocked.

Saw baby wiggling around on screen, they said everything looks fine, heartbeat is good and I'm 3 weeks further on than anticipated.

They said it could just be hormonal changes, but everything is still sealed and the blood is old blood, thy can't guarantee nothing will happen but it looks fine, but same as you, for now everything is still where it should be!

It has also confirmed in my mind that I do want another child and am at the moment keeping my fingers crossed for this one.

I really hope everything goes well for you too, keep me posted. Such a worrying time x
