The (normal) flu - doctor or not?

I have a nasty case of the flu (Regular, not swine - I was vaccinated). Am 36 weeks. COugh, aches, fever, runny nose, and diarrhea. Lovely. My mother, who is a panic merchant, is convinced I shoudl call the doctor, but I can't really see the point. A virus is a virus, and there's nothing you can do other than paracetamol while pregnant.

But it did occur to me that I have no idea when you neeed to worry about 'regular' sickness while pregnant!

I wouldn't panic, but keep an eye on your temperature. If it gets over 38 for any length of time, get advice. High temp can cause early labour occassionally. Also try to keep hydrated. Dioralyte sachets.

Hope you feel well soon.
