Pregnancy

This is really really stupid but I have to know

Ok, I am 7 weeks pregnant, and early last week I had been having pink and actual blood tinged discharge.

Nothing for a few days though so my stress has subsided a bit. But this morning more bloody discharge

Now this is the really stupid bit, last night I was playing with DD and she was doing roly polies and she asked me to do one. Thinking nothing of it I did a couple, and it was only afterwards that I thought actually that might have been a bit stupid, and wondered if I had done some damage, and lo and behold more blood (not proper blood, but like when you are just about to come on your period). I need to know, otherwise it will bug me forever, if I have a miscarriage will it be because I stupidly did a roly poly. God, I sound such an idiot writing that, but this blood thing is so stressful and I thought it had gone.

I am sorry you are having this stress and worry

if , and i truly hope you don't, miscarry.. it wont be because you did a roly poly

at this stage of pregnancy, the uterus is low in the pelvis, protected behind the bones, you cannot dislodge it doing roly polys

some women do have bleeding/spotting/bloody dishcarge in early pregnancy and go on to have a full term pregnancy, some don't

i would, for your own peace of mimnd, try to take it easy for a few days.

but if something happens, it is absolutely not your fault

pregnancies miscarry due to all sorts of reasons, chromosoamal defects for example, which are not your fault

I once read a story about a women who fell out of a plane, broke almost every bone in her body, but her 2 week gestation embryo was fine. They are sooo teeny at the early stages, I don't think there's anything you could do physically that would do them any harm. Please don't worry about doing roly polies!

Early bleeding and spotting may be nothing. Fingers crossed for you x

Thanks lulu, I won't be doing it again (a 28 year old 10 stone woman shouldn't be doing roly polies at the best of times!) but it is good to know it won't cause me to miscarry. I know I am just being irrational now.

I could cope with a a MC, I just can't cope with the not knowing very well. I don't want to be on tenterhooks for the next 6 weeks.

I know, I'm being irrational. But I just had to ask or I would have blamed myself. Nothing else today, and the blood I had earlier was dark, so maybe left over from the spotting earlier in the week IYSWIM?

Thanks for the replies.
