I'm 31 weeks and have noticed that today and yesterday, little baby had hiccups about 5 times, is this normal or should I worry that something is wrong? At first I thought it was lovely to see my belly hiccuping now am a little concerned......any advice greatly welcomed

Awww, baby hiccups are cute. I wouldn't be concerned; it shows that your baby is practising breathing and swallowing properly

very normal. Will drive you bonkers when baby is even bigger and you can feel him / her hiccuping against your bladder .

both of mine did it all the time

Yep, is normal, don't worry!

BTW, a baby that hiccups a lot inside is quite likely to be hiccuppy once on the outside, at least for a while, IME.

My baby had them lots in my tum too .... and she gets them lots out of it as well! AT least once a day for a-g-e-s! Doesn't seem to bother her too much, but they are a bit wearing after a while...!

hi this is my third pregnancy and i am to 31wk..n this baby gets hiccups everytime i eat for ages that includes the smallest of snacks...dont mean to moan but to be honest im finding it kind annoying but i am uncorfortable tired and irritable this time round feels like baby has no room left n cant pnysically grow really hoping this isnt a big baby sign.

my first twodd were exactly the same hiccup wise but luckily first 5lb9 and second was 7lb4....that was big enough for me thou

Its normal. DD had them day and night from 34 weeks onwards totally drove me mad esp when it felt like they were on my bladder. Nothing could be done .. couldn't sleep for more than 40 mins at a time because of it.... (ie hiccups against bladder..) got much better sleep after she was born.

She was only 7lbs 5oz and never hiccupped once she was born though!
