Serious Pressure "down there" - only 15 weeks!

Hi,

I am new to posting, although have been lurking reading all the great advice for a while. I am currently nearly 15 weeks pregnant with our second, Please can someone advise what they think my problem is?

I have really bad pressure in between my legs - it feels almost like the pressure you feel when baby's head is engaged - but obviously I am only just into my second trimester, so it can't be that.

I have a vaginal prolapse, which wasn't really giving me any problems prior to pregnancy, but now it feels like everything is "going to fall out", iykwim.....

Would be grateful if anyone could advise, I walked around shops for about 4 hours yesterday and now it is really quite painful, with a little throbbing?? Any help gratefully received, thanks!

Well, I'm about as far along as you with my second pregnancy, and I've had a similar issue. Is it worse when you sit down or lie on your side? I've been sleeping with a cushion between my legs for a fortnight now.

I've also been rather...well, constipated, to be perfectly blunt, and I reckon it could be a little/lot to do with that. I haven't had the usual cramps though, just the aching you describe. It eased off for a while after I managed to, uh, go, but is returning.

So, aplogies for the slight TMI, but how regular are you?

Hi there!

There is not as much pain when I sit/lie down. Mainly when I am upright and especially walking, that is when it is most painful.

I am sure I had this last time but very late on, when I had a massive bump (i.e. 30+ weeks), so put it down to the large weight.

No worries about any TMI! Not at all! I am totally fine in that area - regular, so defo not constipation. The pressure is more straight over the middle of my pelvic area/at the front, rather than coming from that area....

I have 2 weeks until my next midwife appointment, but I am hoping it eases off before then!

Hello. Sorry to resurrect (and attempt to hijack) this thread, but I'm having exactly the same symptoms at 16wks and starting to worry. Did you mention it to your midwife wickedfairy? What did she say?
