Im almost 16 weeks pregnant, i've posted before on here so some of you will know that I have had 3 miscarriages. The problem is I really dont feel pregnant, Ive not really had any symptoms throughout, I was sick twice at about 7 weeks but from then onward no morning sickness at all. Everything was ok at my 3 month scan but I'm just worrying myself sick the only symptom I have really had is tiredness but that may just be because my routine is all over the place (I'm writing this at almost 4am!)
Just need reassuring really, thinking of booking a private scan as my nxt one is not till 26th feb but dont know whether its worth just waiting. xx

Hi dani Im just over 15 weeks pregnant and I feel the same as you, Ive got no symptoms apart from a stuffed up nose and I wasnt sick at all in the first 12 weeks. My scan was all fine and I havent got another one til 2nd March so I know how you feel, have you seen your mw for the 16 week app? Sometimes they will listen to the heartbeat which is v reassuring as its a long time to wait til the next scan.

Please be assured that now that you're past the 1st trimester and had a scan, your chances of mc are infinitesimally small. I too have "symptom-free" pgs which are physically easy to bear but which drive me mental with worry. (am now waiting for my first scan!)

Very happy for you that you've made it this far despite 3 mcs before. Just think that every uneventful day is another healthy day for your LO to grow, and this will be confirmed at your next scan or mw appt. Best of luck!

Congratulations on your pregnancy, Dani.

I am bookmarking this page because I feel the same way as you and I'm nearly 10 weeks pregnant. I didn't have many symptoms in my last pregnancy, so here's hoping no news is good news again!

Dani,

So sorry to hear about your past miscarriages. I have had two and can completely empathise with the anxiety that comes along with pregnancy after loss.

As previous posters have said, a healthy scan at 12 weeks means that things really are going to be fine. However, if you are going to be stressed and worried for the next month, then I would definitely book a private scan. It's absolutely worth the peace of mind.

Alternatively if you can book an appointment with your midwife to hear the heartbeat, then I would definitely do that.

Even though everything is fine, your feelings are perfectly normal and there is nothing wrong with you seeking extra reassurance. If anything just so that you can spend this special time actually enjoying your pregnancy!

Btw, I also did not feel pregnant at 16 weeks. I felt great actually!

Hi Dani,

I am 16 weeks today, with 6 previous miscarriages & 2 gorgeous children. Know exactly where you are coming from, debating same thing at home - I felt really sick/knackered for first weeks, now feel completely normal, cant feel any movements yet..Last ANC appt I begged them to do a quick scan & they were very sympathetic (maybe could sense my impending hysterical breakdown & didnt fancy dealing with it in clinic!!) & did a 2min scan, just to see heartbeat - worth asking at next appt, or ring up & make one if you havent got one. Not sure when they can do doppler to pick up heart beat..

If you really feel uneasy, worth pushing to get reassurance, and once we can feel these babies move, I am sure we will feel better. Just have to somehow have faith all will be well xx
