This is probably daft but i have picked up a tummy bug from my toddler, been puking, pale, clammy... am i right in thinking as long as i am keeping fluids down the baby will be ok? am 20wk pg, baby moving as normal. i should just chill out, right?

Yes I am sure baby will be fine - morning sickness has much the same effect and babies survive that fine Keep yourself hydrated though and take it easy, is there anyone who can help out with your toddler today and tomorrow?

Hi I had the Norovirus bug last year when I was about 7 months pregnant. I rang my doctors for advice and they just said to try and keep fluids up but if the Vomitting continued for more than 24hrs then to ring them again as I may need to go hosp for i/v fliuds. My baby was fine, sitting here with her on knee at the moment.

Hope you feel better soon.

thanks for prompt replies! my wonderful mum and dad have taken ds off for the day (they normally have him on a weds while i work and would have been most put out at missing out... ) he, typically, has bounced back after a day and a half of this bug so hoping i will too. Am just going to sit here and drink water and watch crap telly - would be bliss if i didn't feel so rubbish!

Poor you - stop worrying about baby - he/she will be just fine. They're tougher than we think. Stress is worse for them so try to relax and wait for this nasty time to pass. It will soon x

Poor you. I had it too, on Monday, and although I felt shocking for 24 hours I was much better after that and back to normal today. Baby was moving around yesterday so all seems well (I'm 19 weeks). GP not bothered at all, just said to keep drinking water. I sipped it because gulping made me puke! Hope you feel better soon.
