Not at my hospital. You have to turn off all phones and it's says cameras/phone cameras are not allowed.

they will give you some pictures which you can scan in to your computer and send off.

A few years ago, the scanning m/c had a video tape hole. I wished I'd brought a blank video on the off chance, might have got lucky. I always ask for things as the worst anyone can say is No bugger off.

I got my partner to bring a camera to the 20 week scan as we wanted to send a video to his family in France. The sonographer let us video some of it but I could tell this wasn't standard practice. Think it depends if you get someone nice. Worth an ask though - the worst they can say is no.

Don't forget that it isn't just an opportunity for a nice picture, the sonographer is also looking for any problems with babe. Just from a professional point of view, not meaning to be a spoilsport

We had to take lots of £1 coins to buy pictures. No £1 coins, no piccies, and no they don't have change, exact cash only, etc.

And no phones or cameras allowed. And you will be scanned by a student who will say loudly "I can only find one foot"

reikizen you are of course right, that's why she only let us film a bit not when she was doing the measurements.
