Has anyone had Celvepan Swine Flu Vaccine?

I have a couple of friends who have had the pandemrix vaccine but I don't know anyone that has had the Celvepan (two dose) vaccine.

If you had it , did you suffer any side affects?

I am unsure which one to go for!

Thanks

I had celvapan and didn't even suffer a sore arm. Personally I felt I would rather have a non-adjuvanted vaccine. There are lots of other threads on the two vaccines if you want to research more

I'd also appreciate any thoughts on this. I've just found out that I am pregnant for the first time and also have a three year old step daughter who has yet to have her vaccination.
Normally I'd avoid a vaccination so early, but I'm concerned that I might pick something from my DSD, as I have heard that children carry and pass on SW far more easily than adults.
Thanks!

I was 25 weeks when I had the first dose and will have the next dose next week. It has to be at least 3 weeks apart. As I was away the 2nd dose will be 4 weeks later for me which they said was no prblem. There was one really long thread which helped me decide on whether or not to have the vaccine look atthis page It's a lot of conflicting opinions but also some useful links and info. I certainly feel a great deal happier now I have made the decision to have celvapan and don't worry about swine flu any more, but it's a tough choice and very personal to you. Good luck

No side effects at all - well perhaps a very slight soreness in the injected arm but really nothing. I am in Ireland where they are only giving one dose of Celvapan... and on another thread on here I hear they are doing the same in France and Canada, so I am guessing the protection from one dose of Celvapan must be almost effective as the Pandremix.

Had 1st dose at 19 weeks and go back for second dose on the 15th. No side effects at all. Also had seasonal vaccine weeks earlier and that left a sore, red mark and an achy arm for days.

Had it today (at 21 weeks)- arm a little uncomfy (not sore) and had a couple of dizzy spells so far.

Thanks for your replies everyone.

Do you mind me asking as well, did any of you have any reservations about Pandemrix which is why you chose Celvapan and also did/do you have any concerns with Celvapan?

I am finding it so hard to make the decision whether to get vaccinated or not, especially the immense responsibility of doing it whilst pregnant.
