My sister is organising my Baby Shower in a couple of weeks and has asked me to give her a wish list for gifts so she can pass it on to the guests.

The problem is, I have bought the stuff I thought I may need and now I don't know what else to ask for. I would really appreciate some suggestions about what I've missed out.

Here is what I have got already:

Pram/Pushchair
Car Seat
Cot
Moses Basket
Baby Bath
Baby Bouncer
Mobile
Some toys for cot and pram
Changing Mat
Newborn cloths (just a few)

She has already asked them to bring nappies as an admission ticket

So what els??????

Why don't you just ask them to come ad not expect a gift?
Then if you do get anything it will be nice and if they don't at least you have had some fun.

To be honest I wouldn't mind that, but I keep being told "its a Baby Shower because you are supposed to be Showered with gifts!"

Just tell them to bring what they want, presents is how you end up with the lovely outfits you would never buy yourself and the mountain of teddies that you won't know what to do with now but is oblligatory on any toddler's bed.

Could you ask your sister to organise a food delivery voucher (apparently this place is good, and Abel and Cole deliver meals as well)? Or what about a facial or something for now, or for when bub is old enough to be left?

Oh, and yes some really big stretchy muslin wraps are a must - get 1.2m ones if you can.

Also, some baby nighties? Frugi have some nice organic ones in thick cottom.

Just to clarify, choosing from the list I'll give is not compulsory, this is for when friends ask the hostess "is there anything she needs?"

vouchers( boots, argos,m&s,mothercares etc) are a good idea so you can use them as you see fit! also try not to asked for gifts to expensive if you see the buggy you like get the shops details and they can all put some money towards it! so one person doesnt buy it! that gift maybe can be left for the inlaws and very close family!

enjoy i have mine in Jan! good luck x

I didnt have a baby shower but my work got me a Boots gift card as my leaving present. They knew Id bought everything (and more!) than I could possibly need but hope that I'll treat myself and the baby with the gift card or buy esssentials as and when needed over the next few months. Ive already treated myself to some soap & glory sets

How about a swaddling blanket, gro-bag, books erm minds gone blank now.
