paranoid pregnant after miscarriage!

After suffering a fairly straightforward 1st miscarriage at about 8wks back in april I have now discovered am pregnant again. (thank god for Clearblue which I used to test early whilst on an all inclusive holiday!) I kinda knew I was pregnant as experienced some very early signs frm 3 days after conception and went on to being v tired, sore boobs, bloated & gassy and headaches. I'm still just coming up 6wks and my symptoms seem to be changing and am paranoid they are subsiding! Not sure if just in mind as terrified am going to miscarry again! Is anyone else feeling so insecure about the same?

twogirlsonemore hiello. i am in the same situation. pregnant again after 3 mc. it's so hard isn't it?

with regard to symptoms i would try not to worry too much. 6 weeks is still early. i had convinced myself that i had all the classic signs before af was due and then once i got a bfp they all disappeared! after a few days of panicking they have all returned with a bang!

hope everything works out well for you.

Hey twogirlsonemore and shyla01, Im in exactly the same position, am pregnant straight after a miscarriage I had in May. I dont even know how far gone I am either! I am trying to be as relaxed as possible but at the same time I dont want to get my hopes up in case something is wrong! (God forbid)

My symptoms are alot stronger this time round and had to take 2 weeks off for my morning sickness, which I didnt get last time which I have been told is a "good" sign, so Im happy for that at least.

I have my first midwife appointment today at 1:30pm so am going to talk over my concerns with her. Doctor also said he faxed over a message to the midwives that I will need an early scan so hopefully she will shed some light on that too.

As the mc was my first experience of pregnancy and my second experience is full of anxiety, Im finding it hard to find the joys of pregnancy that women talk about. I understand that I am pregnant and that is why I am feeling so rough, but I am struggling to comprehend that I am having a baby if that makes sense. Its hard to put the two together, I cant imagine myself having an actual baby. (Even though it is what I want more than anything) I hope the realisation hits me soon and I can be excited.

Im also scared to have a scan, as I had one last time and it was empty so now I am petrified of what I will see when I have one again.

Sorry for the long rant but I am work so typing this on the sly

Im glad that I am not alone and would like to stay in touch with you both seeing as we are going through this together. Will let you know what the midwife says when I come back, take care...RL1 Xx

Hi - I am feeling incredibly insecure! I also had a miscarriage in April at 9.4 weeks. I am now so happy and grateful to be pregnant again, but terrified it will happen again. Trying to use positive visualisation!

One quesiton I have is about progesterone supplements - have any of you considered taking these? These are prescribed for the first 3 months of pregnancy after IVF treatment and often after recurrent miscarriage. There is no evidence it helps or harms, but some people apparently take it to reduce the risk of another miscarriage. I'm so confused? What do you think?

Hi girls, thanks to you all for replying.Yes Rubylove1 be lovely to keep in touch and share our concerns and experiences. Really hope that all of us end up with healthy pregnancies that go to full term and will be keeping everything crossed for us!
Thanks for your words of encouragement shyla01 I will have to try to relax more and not constantly be analysing my symptoms!! What will be will be I guess. So sorry to hear that you've had to deal with 3 mc's, must've been awful and worse each time.
Really hope you get the good news you deserve this time.
TS09 I'm not sure about progesterone supplements I'm afraid though see doctor tomorrow so might ask about them, thanks for info, let you know what I'm told. Bye for now, take care all xx
