They are most likely to be montgomery's tubercules, quite normal and nothing to worry about. If you google you're bound to find some photos to compare with.

You mustn't try and pick then out mumsiebumsie They are supposed to be there - they have a function!

I'm 6w pregnant and have had these for the past week or so. Never had them before- I'm pretty sure they are a pregnancy thing as they prepare the nips for breastfeeding, according to Dr. Google.

(and mumsiebumsie I have so far managed to resist fiddling with them! Just.)

Oh really! What's the function?? Seriously I've been picking them out - gross I know but couldn't resist. Can I still breastfeed??!!

I got them with my 1st pregnancy 6 years ago and they didn't go away. Embrace the white spots!

Apparently they're for lubrication during breastfeeding. Mumsiebumsie- I'm sure you'll get new ones to replace the ones you've picked! I would stop fiddling if I were you, if only because you wouldn't want the bit you've been picking at to get infected!

This thread is actually bringing on a touch of the old pregnancy nausea. Boak.

Brings a whole new meaning to the Black Eyed Peas song "My humps, my humps, my lovely lady lumps"

I am so glad to see this post as I was disgusted with my boobs after noticing these spots. I massaged my boobs after the shower as my yoga instructor told me to, noticing a small droplet coming out of the nipple - the white spots as said before are supposed to be part and parcel of the breastfeeding thing.

Checked and the white spots are back - will try to leave them well alone.
