Pregnancy

When they say you have a raised temperature when pregnant.... exactly how raised?

Yes I am obsessively symptom spotting... dont normally take temperature but read that it is raised when pregnant.

So if any of you do monitor your temp, by how much should you expect it to raise.

Mine is 37.2

37.2 is a normal temp IIRC, the scale goes from 36.5 to 37.5 or something like this. Anything in between is normal. Sorry.

thats what i thought but i thought it would be the higher end. if it was above 37.5 then you would feel unwell?

with my other pregnancies i never felt unwell just different and moody

a normal temp is anything from 36.5 to 37.5. Anything above 37.5 is a mild fever. I had itching in very early pregnancy, this is noted to be a sign. I don't know about a fever though.

itching - thats a new one... funny you should say that, my back has just started to itch.

The itching was terrible. I could tell that I was pregnant aswell. Weird hey!

You'd have to know what your temperature normally was, and I'd think the difference would only be obvious if you were doing BBTs regularly. No way to tell from one temperature on its own.

congrats- I was just about to post my temp only ever goes past 37 when pregnant (or am ill!) as normal luteal phase temp is 36.7. So it can be a good sign if it is outside your normal range but you now know anyway so will shhh.

Thandeka - you know when you know you know?

If I was not pregnant this month I was going to really feel like I was losing the plot.

I know your body can trick you most months with lots of pregnancy symptoms (i've been there) this time i had so many physical changes.

The temp thing was a whole new thing to me. My dh now understands why i kept taking his temp to compare.

Sorry that made me laugh the image of you doing your temp and then making DH take his!

I'm not sure if I know when I know- as have had the odd suspicion hope before which was wrong. But then again I get the faintest faintest you really can't tell and no-one but you can see them positives from about 8/9DPO so I sort of "know" despite you not being able to tell really. But then that has only happened last two "cycles" (Last pregnancy ended in MMC) so it may be just that I can tell because they were my two most recent experiences.

Erm am pregnant now. Gulp only 40 days after MMC very very early days (am 4 weeks today! so nothing really but known-ish since last friday) so trying to keep calm and carry on! This is my second pregnancy been TTC#1 since sept last year so fingers crossed this is one that keeps growing (I don't say "sticky one" as mine stuck a bit too well- 4 weeks after the HB stopped in fact- so sticky doesn't seem to be my issue!)

They are evil things MMC but fingers firmly crossed for both of us.

Had test I threw in bin as was BFN then fished it out and it was positive and been getting very faint but stronger and stronger tests ever since. Not going to join the Feb 2010 thread til much much later as I was on Nov 09 thread and only remembered Yday and had to go take myself off it so not going to this time til I'm sure its going to be okay- probably feb 2010 then!

hello
just read the other thread you talked about and sorry i didnt have mmc, i think the right term is chemical pregnancy. always get them confused. think i said i had a mmc on another thread recently too - must find it to correct myself. i got bfp very faint the day i was due but was sure it was a pos as that is what my second pregnancy test was like. but that evening my period started and when i tested a few days later it was neg!
i was still upset about it even though i only had a few hours to get excited.
a mmc is much much worse so sorry to hear that. this time you will be fine though so keep positive, try not to worry, relax and look afer yourself.
take care x

Hi I'm not sure if anybody else had this. I've looked at different forums noone mentions a temp that is this high. This morning I was 37.10c° post ovulation by 10 days. I don't feel ill at all. Am I pregnant , I don't want to take the test until after my period dates as I'm not sure it would show anything regardless . Also I'm 37.5c° when I ovulate.

Thankyou any comments would be appreciated
