Pain in Ribcage

Hi, has anyone had pain in the ribcage during 2nd and 3rd Trimester? I'm at 26 weeks and the pain in my ribcage is really hurting - waking me at night...Anyone know what this is as I can't find it in any books? Also, does anyone have any solutions. I'm told the baby is very big and that I am big for my time...

I hadd this and it turned out it was dds foot wedged in my ribcage. I ended up withh kidney stones and her wee foot was bent back but it sorted itself out in a few days (still have tthe kidney stones though). Straddle a chair and see if baby moves that might help.

Oh, yes, me too - I really feel for you, it was horrendous. I had a corresponding backache as well, in the same place, on the right hand side just under my breast. Never found a mention of it in any books, nobody seemed to recognise it when I mentioned it. I was very big also and gained lots of weight - I'm currently 24wks into my 2nd pregnancy and haven't had it yet, but am much smaller this time, so maybe that's a factor or maybe it's still to come. The other thing that is different this time is I got fitted properly for new bras. Before I was wearing a 40D and I'm now in a 36G; so I don't know if this also is making a difference.

Sorry, I know that's not much help. The occasional paracetamol is ok though, I didn't take anything last time but this time will get the paracetamol out straight away if it comes back, it was agony!
